Important Guidelines For Working
With Emotional Patterns and Trauma

Note: The recommended pace for clearing emotional patterns is 1-2 per day and specific instructions for the trauma release practices are outlined in the videos below. If after a few weeks of practice you feel you can handle clearing more emotional patterns each day, you can increase to 3-4 per day. Always make sure to give your self 1-2 days off to integrate the shifts every 4-5 days or as needed.


How to Clear Emotional Patterns

1. Try to identify at least one emotional trigger/pattern per day either by:

a. Noticing what emotional patterns are triggering you as you go about life (there is a guide on how to do this in the Week 2: Course Materials section below)

and/or

b.
Using the worksheets to identify an emotional pattern

2. When you have discovered and emotional trigger or you have identified something you would like to clear from the emotional patterns worksheet, use the techniques outlined in the videos below to clear the emotional pattern in question.

3. First, use the Neurobiological Clearing Technique to begin the clearing of the emotional pattern. Note: When using the Neurobiological Clearing Technique it may be helpful to use the audio guide initially to help you learn the process.

4. Then use the Somatic Clearing Technique to finish the clearing of the emotional pattern.

5. When using the emotional clearing techniques, you will notice a dramatic reduction in intensity or complete erasure of the pattern immediately after. If you feel that there is some lingering emotional residue after using the techniques, you may repeat them once more for a deeper effect. In the rare case that they have not completely cleared after a second clearing session, please refer to the knowledge base article here for guidance on how to eliminate the lingering emotional residue completely.

6. Give yourself a few minutes (1-5 min. is adequate) to integrate the changes in your system from clearing the limiting beliefs before proceeding to step 7.

7. If you are working on more than one emotional pattern in a given session, repeat steps 2 and 3 for the remaining emotional patterrns.

How to Clear Trauma

1. Watch the videos covering the different Trauma Stretches below until you get the hang of the techniques and no longer need the videos. There can be a slight learning curve as your body learns the subtleties of the movements, but most people pick them up fairly quickly.

2. During a Trauma Stretching session, you can choose to practice one or all of the techniques for as long as you would like. Listen to your body to feel into when is an appropriate stopping point. 1-5 min per position is adequate but you can go longer.

3. After finishing the Trauma Stretching, spend a few minutes laying on your back on the floor in a comfortable position with your eyes closedThis helps the shifts that were made during the stretches to integrate more deeply.

Other Things to Be Aware Of

Be sure to drink lots of fresh, high-quality spring water and get adequate rest after working with the techniques. This is important to help the body deal with any toxins released as a result of letting go of emotional patterns and trauma as well as to help your body and mind integrate the changes. It may seem simple on the surface, but this is DEEP work and can often surprise you in how powerfully it can affect you.
